Description

Reliable ECG monitoring isn’t always easy when your patient is very small, feathered or covered in scales.

ZUMAYA™ ECG Needle Electrodes provide a simple alternative to conventional ECG clips and adhesive pads, particularly for avian, reptile, exotic and smaller mammal patients where traditional electrode placement can be difficult or impractical.

Each electrode features a 0.85-inch (approximately 22 mm) needle with a small plastic handle and 12-inch (approximately 30 cm) lead, allowing straightforward subcutaneous placement. The lead terminates in a standard snap-type connector, making ZUMAYA™ universal and compatible with most standard ECG monitoring equipment — not just the VetCorder™ Pro.

ZUMAYA™ can provide a particularly useful ECG connection for patients including birds, reptiles, rats and other small mammals, with Sentier demonstrating its use across species including rats, iguanas and turtles.
